New "Celebrate Romance" ScholarShip@Sea Course That Debuted on Emerald Princess Will Soon Launch on Crown Princess

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (June 11, 2007) - Hundreds of Princess passengers have come home from their cruise as "certified romantics," thanks to the line's new ScholarShip@Sea course which debuted on Emerald Princess last month. The new love-filled enrichment class, called "Celebrate Romance," will now begin to be rolled out fleetwide, launching on Crown Princess next month.

Created by the line's Department of Romance that launched earlier this year, "Celebrate Romance" is a primer on romance through the ages, presenting passengers with tips on how to reconnect with their special someone and keep romance alive all year. The 45-minute multi-media presentation, hosted by the ship's cruise staff, takes a fun-filled look at love from a variety of perspectives, particularly offering inspirational advice from the romance experts in Princess' Department of Romance. Dating and romance guru Trish McDermott, everyone's favorite couples therapist Dr. Ruth Westheimer, and America's favorite "Love Boat" captain, Gavin MacLeod, all offer a wealth of advice and amusing stories.

The new course uses interviews, romantic movie clips and relationship lore to help passengers find their inner Romeo and Juliet. Participants will learn when the first Valentine was sent, the stories behind such traditions as flowers and wedding rings, and the histories of famed lovers such as Antony and Cleopatra.

"Romance is so integral to what passengers experience on a Princess ship, that we thought we'd have some fun with this light-hearted ScholarShip@Sea course," said Jan Swartz, Princess' senior vice president. "And now that we're gradually introducing it fleetwide, imagine all the 'certified romantics' there'll be thanks to Princess!"

The "Celebrate Romance" course is presented free of charge and open to all passengers interested in upping their romantic quotient.

Romance by Room Service - Couples who want to snuggle up in their stateroom can create the perfect atmosphere by ordering Princess' new "Romance by Room Service" package which includes a special presentation of champagne and chocolate, scattered fresh rose petals and flameless scented candles, all set to a background of romantic music.

The Romance Channel - The romantic cabin ambience is being enhanced with the introduction of The Romance Channel on stateroom televisions, featuring timeless romance movies such as "An Affair to Remember" and "Sleepless in Seattle."

Daily Romance Advice - Passengers aboard Princess ships are receiving daily reminders on how to celebrate and strengthen their relationships, as the daily Princess Patter activities program features a romantic tip or quotation to inspire affection.

"Celebrate Romance" is part of Princess' popular ScholarShip@Sea program, featuring a variety of enrichment opportunities throughout each cruise.
