Activities for teenagers on board Disney Cruises
On a Disney Cruise Line vacation, guests ages 13 to 17 have their very own spot -- The Stack (Disney Magic) and Aloft (Disney Wonder) -- located in the ship's faux funnel on deck 11.

CELEBRATION, Fla. -- On a Disney Cruise Line vacation, guests ages 13 to 17 have their very own spot -- The Stack (Disney Magic) and Aloft (Disney Wonder) -- located in the ship's faux funnel on deck 11. It's open all day (and half the night) and packed with comfy couches, a soda bar serving soft drinks and smoothies, internet access, plasma-screen TVs, MP3 players loaded with popular music, board games, and other chill-out necessities.

As if the cool gear inside wasn't enough, there are counselors who organize a host of activities, from dance parties, to trivia games, to teen-only excursions on Disney's private island, Castaway Cay. Programs include:

  • Explore the ship on Digihunt, a scavenger hunt using digital cameras. Players will have to decipher Morse code, use international flag codes, solve Disney trivia, and more to get to the final prize.
  • Get wet and wild with the H2O Splashdown -- a pool party filled with games and races.
  • Dance the night away at the moonlit Glow Jam, where fashion accessories include glow sticks and bracelets or Flashback '70s, '80s and '90s with retro hits of the past. It's the perfect way to hang out, loosen up and get to know fellow cruisers.
  • Hollywood, eat your heart out -- Shooting Stars just may uncover a budding film star or director. Teens form a production team, complete with costumers, camera operators, a director, actors and actresses to produce a movie. The finished product is even given a screening onboard.
  • Teens snorkel, bike and kayak through Disney's private island, Castaway Cay, to solve one of the island's best kept secrets during The Wild Side -- an excursion just for teens.
  • What do you get when you combine bamboo, rope and a group of determined teenagers? A raft, hopefully! Whatever Floats Your Boat has teams design, build and race rafts in a lagoon at Castaway Cay. The first one to shore in one piece wins!

A leader in the family cruise segment, Disney Cruise Line offers three-, four- and seven-night itineraries to the Bahamas and the Caribbean. Land/sea vacation packages that include a stay at the Walt Disney World Resort are also available. Both the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder will embark on new itineraries in 2006, with the Disney Magic including a seven-night alternate western Caribbean itinerary making two stops at Castaway Cay, while the Disney Wonder will sail two first-ever 10- and 11-night itineraries to the Southern Caribbean.
